A client came to our office after purchasing a property with a business closed for several years. She wanted to continue the use and purchased the property without consulting us. Unfortunately, since the use was discontinued for several years prior, the municipality is now requiring extensive zoning legal engineering, and survey work, at our client’s expense. A very unfortunate circumstance which could have been avoided, or at least anticipated, with prior planning.
