Because of delays in processing even cashier’s checks, and fraud, all closing agents require the buyer’s closing funds be sent via a wire to the closing agent’s disbursing account. There are scammers who intercept the wiring instructions and send an e mail to the buyer directing that the wire be sent last minute to a different account. Please do not fall victim to this scam!! Whenever you wire money or authorize a third party to send a wire from your account, make sure that you call the closing agent and verify the accuracy of the wiring instructions. Protect yourself and your hard-earned money!!
